Actually no this thread has nothing to do with tweakboy its about AMD, my bad :sneaky:

Looks like theres a bit of good news for team green:

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/amd-mubadala,news-41435.html

Probably a bit premature to say things are looking up for them but things are looking a bit better than before maybe?

Interesting how mubadala owns global foundries, the company that AMD has to pay a chunk of cash to every so often, so in a way theyre being both hurt and helped by mubadala :\

...increased its share in the company to 19 percent, in exchange for a cash payment and an additional seat on the company's board.

It is a funny business when you can re-sell your company as many times as you like. The company was already sold to the public, and yet they just diluted the value of the existing shareholders in exchange for more cash for themselves.

How would you like it if I sold you my car, took your money, and then sold (your) car again to another buyer? In any other line of business that would be called fraud...but on wallstreet it is just called "dilution" 🙄

This BoD really knows how to unlock shareholder value :\

Well, in the GPU world red woulbe AMD/ATi and green would be Nvidia.

However, when looking at the logos for the CPUs, AMD was traditionally green and Intel traditionally blue.

However, I think most of AMD's products now are boxed in red themes, so I'm pretty sure they're team red overall.

The title sure forced my hand to move and finger to click. Not surprised he's AWOL. He's a left coaster and doesn't wake and start his weekdays until 2:00pm pst or so.

AMD is Team Not Intel Or nVidia, so they're red.

The Phenom II quads came in black boxes, the hexes came in purple boxes, and the APUs came in black or red boxes. The older Athlon X2's came in teal boxes, and the Athlon64's in orange boxes. AMD's little arrow logo is still green when placed next to the AMD name, but it looks like they've picked red as their future. Their GPU business is the only one that isn't failing miserably. 😛
