I saw a show where they explored that question and the conclusion (based on research and recent findings) is that between 20 and 40k egyptians (not 100k slaves) worked on them for 20+ years. They most likely used a simple ramp for the lower parts of the pyramid (which would take care of 2/3rds of the work) and a winding ramp to finish it off.
