I bought two 8GB SD cards for my trip overseas: one to use in my Dell Axim x50v for MP3's and stuff, and another to use in a Panasonic TZ-1 digicam that I just bought for 80 minutes of video.
I get the cards today. I take one card out of its blister packaging to make sure the card isn't a Chinese fake, and it looks ok. I pop it into my card reader and it locks up My Computer. I pop it into my Pocket PC and it doesn't see the card.
Then I came to a bad realization: what if SDHC cards aren't compatible with older SD devices?
Yup. Not compatible. This means the cards that I have now aren't compatible with ANY devices I have. I can't use it in my card reader. I can't use it in the TZ-1. I can't use it in my pocket PC. All because I'm an idiot. I was really looking forward to 8GB in my pocket PC and digicam too, especially being able to take 80 minutes of video!!! ARGGGG...
