one thing i am wondering now is... is there any advantage of getting a nomad with onboard memory? would it be worth it to buy a nomad with 32mb onboard memory, which cost a little more than the nomad w/o onboard memory?

depends on the memory limit. it uses sm right? its limited by its memory controller. if it had used cf instead there would be less problem with supporting bigger mem sizes. i kinda wish the small players would use cf🙁 512mb would be pretty sweet.

i think the nomad ii is limited to supporting a max of 128mb sm card. i would think i'd be happy with that amount of memory. 🙂 at first i thought it was limited to 64mb, but i see now that a firmware upgrade allows it to go up to 128mb.

I dunno, I don't really like flash memory players.

I got this one recently and I love it. 200mb disc for $1, sound is great, player is small and comes with a remote.

only thing I would've liked was a radio tuner, but you can't have it all.

Its also very cheap. $80 brand new.
