I'm a real gamer because:

I've been playing computer games since before CGA graphics were the rage.

Take that wipper snappers!
 
...owned or gamed significantly on most major consoles since the NES (current gen not withstanding). Most of them I can still play and sometimes do.

...I enjoy playing more than just the "latest and greatest" FPS/multiplayer garbage even though I played my share of CoD through MW2. Lots of play time with Minecraft, Final Fantasy, Witcher, Mass Effect, Master of Orion, Civilization, Ys, Elder Scrolls, Crysis, Half-Life and Fallout to name a few.

I quit being a "real gamer" because to me it's just a hobby, and meant for enjoyment. So I no longer try to be a completionist and just enjoy the game.

... because I started playing video games at the age of 9 years-old and I haven't stopped one single year ever since, I guess (yeah I enjoy playing video games).
