I'm a daddy!

I'm finally a daddy!

Our daughter was born April 1st. She's 8 weeks premature (3lbs 9 oz) but she's doing good. She's breathing on her own and has been unhooked from everything (IVs, lipids, etc). She'll be in the NICU for roughly another 4 weeks so they can fatten her up some.

It still hasn't sunk in yet but I'm sure it will once she comes home.

Congrats! Having little girls is great! (until they get older and it's shotgun-at-the-door season)....

Cute pics...

Congratulations! Wow, she still has her lanugo hair.

Yea takes premmies longer to lose their lanugo sometimes...my sister was a premmie she had hers for about 3 months...

Congrats first off  I truly hope the time she is in the NICU goes by quickly for you and "mom" too.
What is her name? The photos are just precious!
best wishes to you. 🙂

better cancel that cookie.the baby has no teeth yet!

anyway congrats! its rough when the newborn has problems. when my daughter was 4 weeks old she started having seizures and had to be flown into the children's hospital ICU. was not a fun time. But hang in there! they get fun when they get a little older.

Yeah I know. I called my sister at about 2:30AM when I was flooring it to the hospital and told her I was on the way. She calls back at 3:30AM thinking that it was some elaborate April Fools joke lol. I had to put a nurse on the phone to convince her that I wasn't making it up 😀

🙂 My wife/sister/mom said it is. What we did is my wife came up with a big list of boy/girl names (we didn't know what we were having) and then I started going through the list and removed any names that kids could possibly make fun of lol. I'm sure they can probably make something up with Yamini but then her daddy will be there to beat them up 😀
