I think you are missing the point of the thread

I know I'm not a 90's kid I was born in '99

The point is to talk about the people that think they are but they were born in 1999

You're lucky, have lots of life left 🙂

Do something with it.

In other words, you're a highschool freshman that wants to talk about the dumb kids these days. Good luck with that.

When I was in my 2nd year of high school it's when 9/11 happened. Feels like it was yesterday. Crazy how fast time flies.

I feel old now.

So you're a little young for your grade, congratulations. Now I'm sure you know some 6th graders, or some kids in another middle grade, it doesn't really matter. Think about how you view them now versus how you viewed yourself and your peers when you were that age. That's not too far from how a college kid sees you now; a twenty-something sees college kids in a similar light, and it just keeps going on like that on down the line. Now from that perspective, consider the supreme irony of a highschool sophomore talking trash about kids these days being on his lawn.

Nope. That would be like me calling myself a 70's kid because I was born in 1975 (December, so late 75). I don't remember a damn thing about the 70's. I'm an 80's early 90's kid.

I was born in 1973. That would make me an 80's kid right?

Although, some of my best years were in the early to mid 90's.

Hmmm...

Born in '99.
I remember thinking the highschool kids were really cool when I visited them in 6th grade. Is that who I am to them now? :O

I had glasses, corduroys, a decoder ring, a Red Ryder Daisy BB gun and a Great Aunt who knitted me things. I never put my eye out but, I blew the roof off my neighbors garage.

Had all of the above as well, never blew the roof off of a garage but I did plow an old '63 Beetle we had in storage into the back of our garage when playing in it.

if you start feeling old, just look to the left and note all those who joined AT around the time you were born 😱

Hell, back when I was a kid, the classroom only had a single computer, it had no mouse and the only color it had was GREEN. *shakes cane*

would you expect the person to have been in an incubator for the years between the ages of 3 and 13? I doubt it. I bet you those kids recall and cherish very much about the music and general culture during those years.

I was 1 year old when 1980 happened. I strutted around with my Thriller jacket and parachute pants. I had most of the transformers, star wars, and GI Joe action figures! I watched Transformers/He-Man/GI Joe religiously. Try to take that away from me, punk!

I'm very clearly an 80s kid because I came of a certain age during that decade, and a 90s kid because I experienced the next tier of social/biological development during that decade.

Nice try 90's kid. You almost got me.

When I was a kid the only computers around were main frames and high schools didn't have access.

Ironically the big thing these days is to move back to a mainframe/terminal sort of setup. We just decided to link all the mainframes together and call it "the cloud."

Does urban dictionary's definition fit anyone else here?
Most 90s Kids say everything in the 2000s suck because it wasn't from their generation, and most of the time they haven't even watched said shows that 'suck' without giving any backup to why except it not being from their decade.

Regular Kid: God I really like Regular Show and Penguins of Madagascar.
90s Kid: Those shows suck!
Regular Kid: Have you ever seen them?
90s Kid: No, I haven't, they won't be as good as anything from the 90s.
Regular Kid: Then how do you know they suck?
90s Kid: .....
I'm that guy.

OP has no idea what a 90s kid is

animaniacs? Pinky and the Brain? Pogs? Super Mario Bros 3. After School cartoons like superman and batman, actual good cartoons. Hmmmm...

Gooosebumps books... Ha! Turn to page 152 if you want to falcon punch the monster in the face... you died. Okay Page 88 if you run like a giant sissy.
