This needs to be more well-defined. Are you a '90s kid if you were born in the '90s? I turned 10 years old in 1990. Had the most fun with Super Nintendo and '90s cartoons. I think that makes *me* a '90s kid...right?

We're both 90's kids. Sega Genesis for me.
 
born in 1999? that barely makes the cut; they won't know sht about the '90s and would probably associate themselves with the '00s or '10s

I don't know. It was a gritty decade thanks to 9/11. For the first time in decades America dropped its Rated PG facade and sprayed R-rated violence (Iraq War) and sex (wardrobe malfunction) all over the world.

The 00's will be remembered as the death of innocence and the start of a more real America.
 
Nope. That would be like me calling myself a 70's kid because I was born in 1975 (December, so late 75). I don't remember a damn thing about the 70's. I'm an 80's early 90's kid.
 
the music you hear in your childhood matters quite a bit though.

So someone born in the last years of a decade isn't a X's kid.

Anyway I'm sure that old people in Germany have some fond memories of their childhood too, even if those memories were from the camp with the Hitler Jugend or something. Now that must be weird.
 
Anyone who was born in 1999 and says they're a "90s kid" needs to be karate chopped in the throat and dick (or vag where appropriate).

Oh, but if you were born in 97 you remember loads about the 90's....

I think anyone with half a brain understands that being a *insert decade here" kid means you grew up (I will allow you to have turned 12 at the least) in that decade.

Anyone born after 88 need not apply to the *i'm a 90's kid* group because you will kicked to the kerb and laughed at.
 
Pfft. I was born in '68, so I was a kid in the 70s and a teenager in the 80s. The 90s for me was young adult wasteland; I didn't really get my shit together until the 00s.
