I did read it, you missed my point.
news flash: state universitys run a deficit, their TUITION FEES dont cover the cost of education, there by implying that in fact the state taxes that fund them are used to educate a student even if they are receiving full in state tuition..
Huh? State universities running a deficit has nothing to do with the perfectly monetarily adequate, privately-funded tuition that will be deposited in state coffers as a result of this project. State makes money here unless the article is inaccurate.
UIUC has something close to 35% of its student pop from out of state or out of country(something else I dont agree with based on the fact that my taxes pay for students no matter what) who pay a MUCH higher tuition fee, and they still bleed us dry.
