Stop with the feigning outrage.. the government could remove illegals whenever theywant by enforcing penalties against businesses... they don't want to because it would devastate the economy.

My outrage is not feigned, it is 100% genuine. I'm disgusted with both political parties for allowing it to continue. :|

They ignore it because of the disastrous consequences... do you read the news? Towns have tried it already.

Story here.

So Spitzer did it. Now it's time to shove this BS right down his throat. It's time for Americans to take this country back - both from the illegals and those pandering to them.

Stop with the feigning outrage.. the government could remove illegals whenever theywant by enforcing penalties against businesses... they don't want to because it would devastate the economy.
Would it destroy the economy or force the economy to adjust to reality.

It may be more the political outrage by businesses applying pressure to politicians because of increased wages and short term lack of labor.

If food prices go up 15-20%, you are now redirecting that amount, which was direct circulation of disposable income; however, most of that income loss will have to replace the higher wages that were not being paid to the illegals. Also the legal replacement workers may not be sending their disposable income out of the country.

New York is waffling on this subject and they are having major conflict between different sanctions. This is not up to New York City it is up to the State of New York.

It's disastrous because they don't get support from the state or feds... feds especially since illegal immigration is a federal issue.

Eliot continues to be a hero and champion for the people.

He is simply fixing a problem that Republicans created.

Apparently the people felt different. You were saying?

The problem caused by the Republicans still exists.

Only options left is instant citizenship or deportation.

How is it that you can even live with yourself with so much hate and fury? And so my blindness.

Uh... troll... the Mexican immigration issue is not a new problem. It is been an ongoing issue in the US at least since WWII when soldiers going off to war caused a shortage of farm labor (edit: which BTW the government tried to address even then by bringing over German POW's to work on US farms).

And I don't have any problems with the citizenship solution (although I disagree strongly that is needs to be "instant"). As I noted and explain in great detail much earlier in this thread, giving drivers licenses to illegals would have made the problem WORSE, not better.

Heh... but this exchange between you and Sinsear I quoted here does beg the question as to why the hacks and trolls here believe that democracy is only being championed when it's your agenda, otherwise it must be the work of some evil force that has led the people astray. It's pretty comical IMO that you're such ideologically-blinded morons and screwballs as to believe that you're always right and never wrong about anything, and just because you say so.

I was born and drive in New York city every day, I saw the towers falling when you guys were pissing on your pants watching tv, New York is the land of the Free home of the Brave, stop the bull shit, if the TSA wont honour NY drivers license, we 'll fight for.
