now, not ALL illegals simply hopped a border (though i would imagine the majority have). some people simply had INS paperwork lost (happened to quite a few students at my college) and were therefore, technically "illegal"

I am completely against what these people did but please don't try to flame the fire. I have seen plenty of videos of people getting their ass beat by people like you for flag-related acts. It's unusual that they were able to "get away" with this.

Seattle is recognized as the 28th largest hispanic market in the country hence our brand new station.
Seems to me the immigrants of old desired above all else to be americans and sought to largely intigrate with our society.

It's stuff like this that makes people hate Mexicans and other people groups. If all you ever hear about is Mexicans or other people grouups doing something stupid like this and all you ever see in your own neighborhood is Mexicans or other people groups trashing the place and generally acting sub-human, then eventually you're going to think about them as such and eventually start treating them as such.

Agreed. It doesn't happen overnight, but slowly by forcing your culture into the other.

First - require documents in your language
Second - for your language to be taught in schools
Third - demand other cultural byproducts like radio stations
Fourth - once your engrained enough, start demanding rights and play the victim/racism card.
Fifth - game over, you are so deeply ingrained in the country's culture and laws that you cannot be removed.

Wake up people - this is a full scale invasion.

It would be doubly bad if American citizens did this. I don't believe in burning the flag (people may say its only cloth but it represents a larger archetype) but I won't say another doesn't have the right to burn it in protest. My problem is the lowering of our colors and the raising of the Mexican flag on American soil in a public display in a public place forcibly. I am sorry, but this wrong.

As doze and another stated if I went down to Mexico and raised the American flag (while lowering the Mexican flag and stomping on it) I don't think I would get a, "look at the beloved patriot being goofy haha." This is a provactive act that should never be allowed again.
