Illegal immigrants go free; some offered work permits

The arrest of 28 illegal immigrants at a small engine plant in Bellingham has ignited a national political firestorm over work-site raids carried out under the Obama administration.

The Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) raid at Yamato Engine Specialists on Feb. 24 was the first of this presidential administration. Under massive pressure from immigrant advocates, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano the next day ordered a probe into the actions of the Seattle-based ICE team that conducted the raid.

Before they were released last week, the workers were asked to sign forms acknowledging that deportation action against them was being deferred and they were being offered work permits. Agents delivered the same forms to the homes of those workers who were released earlier.

Based on questions agents have been asking workers, Guillen said, "it appears they are trying to justify this raid, trying to find some criminal action against the employer. They're playing this game of divide and conquer, and that's not the Obama way."

Something has to be done about Janet Napolitano she is to weak, to pro-illegal immigrant, and to easily swayed by their supporters to hold the position that is in charge of US sovereignty.

To do an immigration raid, arrest illegal?s, set them free and not just offer them legal work permits but hand deliver them to their places of residences, in a county that has a 8% jobless rate is insane.

I saw this on Fox News and this Yamato Company is already doing interviews with legal and American citizens so there are more than enough replacements for these jobs that should have had these jobs in the first place.

In 5yrs when the madness spills into the northern states you can all thank our wonderfully pathetic politicians who'd trade our way of life for a vote.. i have family in New Mexico. For years they were trying to get me and my parents to move down.

I believe you're definitely missing something in here. Remember, "Conducting immigration raids on illegal aliens is UN-AMERICAN'" (Pelosi, 2009). So there is nothing more American than offering them (illegal aliens) work permits and permanent residencies! Just one of the changes you have to believe in . . .

Get rid of the minimum wage and we'll have millions of people who'll be willing to work for nothing. There is no reason to bring in illegals who cut the line into the country.

Illegals can not vote but the anchor babies grow up and do vote. It has only been two generations since I have lived here and Hispanics are now the majority in much of South Texas. It is completely un-American to import your votes. Don't get lost in this Union - vs - Illegals stuff, they are both problems.
