Sure I would... a #1 Xmen/Spiderman/whatever superhero you kids worship these days, dangling out the window... :p i'd get close enough, just you see... :D

They may have older editions still populating the shelves, I don't recall seeing numbers on them.

I started reading Hellboy back before the movie came out. I like it quite a bit and it's tempting to splurge and get the various series, but I think I am going to stick to the TPBs for now. Don't need even more stuff taking up room when I still have a bunch of comic grab boxes to get rid of.

Hellblazer is the stuff to pick up now. The movie is still scheduled for February I believe, so the prices might jump up soon. :Q

Honestly? I doubt the movie will be bringing in any fans, not any that will stick it out that is. Hellblazer stuff may drop in value overall after that movie. :(

I'm sure it will. People get all crazy when these movies come out thinking that the comics are going to be worth a lot. I remember seeing Hellboy stuff go crazy when that movie came out (the issue of Next Men where he was introduced was going for like $36 on ebay -- I won an auction for all 30-something issues of Next Men for $15 6 months earlier). It'll all come back down after the movie comes out (especially in this case; the Hellblazer movie sounds awful).

It's amazing that people still treat comics made in the last 10 years as possible collectibles.

Sure, get me a Amazing Spiderman #1 CGC 9.2 or better, and you can torch the rest of it.

They are collectibles, they just might be cheap collectibles. ;)

The idea is to buy the stuff now, wait a couple of months, and sell it on ebay before the movie comes out.

Yeah, I thought about flipping that copy of Next Men, but my laziness and my conscience decided against it. ;)

You should have, unless you really wanted it. My friend (the Amazing Spiderman #1 guy) buys runs of stuff and ebays the doubles. Makes his money back. It's like free comics. :p

I'm planning on seeing Hellblazer. It has potential... I think. And I thought Hellboy was good.

Keanu is not even on the same planet when it comes to people that I would consider to play John Constantine. I think Russell Crow would be great for the part, though.

I hate Russel Crow, but I think you're right. Still, I have to support the comic book movies. :p

I didn't go see Punisher, and I thought that turned out well (bought the dvd for the mini comic :p).

I've been more selective about what comic book movies I support after seeing Daredevil in the theater. :p

I haven't seen the Punisher, the Hulk or Hellboy (although that one I'm actually interested in seeing). I probably wont' see Hellblazer or the Fantastic Four movie either (unless they manage to make FF look a lot better than it does right now -- I wish they would've done a computer animated version instead, especially after seeing The Incredibles).

Ugh, I thought that movie was absolute crap. It left such a horrid taste in my mouth I went and saw Hellboy for a third time right afterwards just to purge that drivel from my short term memory.

I liked Daredevil too. :p Supposedly it kept to the comics pretty well, but I'm not a big fan. I'm not planning on seeing FF because of Jessica Alba. :|

I'm not sure why I liked it, but I did. I thought having a 60yo punisher would have been better though. cool;

I started to read some comics when I was younger. Then I realized I was 11 and I had no money to buy them.

I have the first few issues of the newer X-Men comics, the one that went hand-in-hand with the Fox Cartoon.

Think they are worth the time to Ebay them, or is there a better place to get rid of them?

I'm trying to clear bunches of stuff out of my attic and I'm going to run across them sooner or later.

Search through ebay, see if there is anything similar up there. I'm not sure how well you took care of them though, and that could make all of the difference.

Don't expect to get too much for it -- I'm not sure what the Jim Lee X-Men #1 is going for these days, but it sold something like a million copies, so there's an abundance supply there. For a good while (and maybe even still), it was quarter bin fodder).
