If you're at your desk and some crazed gunman comes in shooting

Morpheus would call me and lead me out of the building, but I'd chicken out, go back inside, and get shot........errr, have my mouth welded shut and a worm put inside my belly button.

I work at home, so it depends on which desk we're talking about. School desk? No, I'd be the first to die. The front door is thirty feet away and has a direct view on my area. There are windows behind me but they are extra strong, not to mention I'd have to tear the blinds down. Computer desk? I'd survive quite easily. There's a bathroom several feet behind me with a window to jump out of. Once I'm outside I can either start hopping fences and hide at someone else's place or run like mad as far away as possible.

Say you're sitting at your desk and some crazed gunman comes in through your building's main front door and starts shooting anyone on sight. From where you are currently sitting would you have time to find a place to hide or run for safety?

From where I sit if the gunman comes in and heads to the single door on the left I'll probably have enough time to make a run for the door in the back. The cubicles should also provide some cover. If he comes through the double doors on the right I'll probably won't have enough time to make it to an exit (have to run across the room for closest exit). I sit very close to the double doors so I'm pretty much screwed if he comes that way.

No, I wouldn't run. I'd return fire.

Here's my normal everyday "don't leave home without it" garb.

i would wonder why i am at work and not at home where i should be.

anyway even if i was working last 2 places my "office" was in the computer room wich you could not get into.

The crazed gunman wouldn't have any interest in the area I work in. The lobby is the area where all of the money is. If they decided they wanted to make it into the back they'd have to make it through at least one set of locked doors. Assuming they made it through there, I have an emergency exit directly across the hall from my cubicle entrance so all I have to do is turn around in my chair, take two steps, and I'm outside.

could probably hear him coming. At that point I could run outside and run down the big hill, or climb into the ceiling.

i work on the 11th floor. i should be fine.

There's enough stressed out and crazy people where I am, I fully expect this scenario to happen some day.

And yes, I've already picked out a couple hiding places.

hehehe at my job I'll just point him to where the cookies are,we do like our snacks 🙂

Dang, that gunman musta been pissed at my framing job- perhaps I'd protect myself with 8 layers of 2.5mm non-glare UV protection acrylic lexan glazing!!!

just how crazy a gunman are we talking about...like a bit off or like krazy with a k?

can we bunnyhop or use the godmode cheat?

It is way too hard to hit Bunny hoppers...

Honestly though I think I'd be okay. Maybe it's because I'm young I feel that in that situation I'd be alright. I'd probably just dive under my desk and chill probably the only option I'd have, at that point.

My building's main door is my house's front door. I'd dive out the window in front of my desk into my yard (my home office is on the first floor) and hop a few fences to freedom and safety.
