If you're at your desk and some crazed gunman comes in shooting

Say you're sitting at your desk and some crazed gunman comes in through your building's main front door and starts shooting anyone on sight. From where you are currently sitting would you have time to find a place to hide or run for safety?


From where I sit if the gunman comes in and heads to the single door on the left I'll probably have enough time to make a run for the door in the back. The cubicles should also provide some cover. If he comes through the double doors on the right I'll probably won't have enough time to make it to an exit (have to run across the room for closest exit). I sit very close to the double doors so I'm pretty much screwed if he comes that way.

In my case, my floor is sorta like a loop--there's a back exit to the cafeteria if someone comes thru the front. And plate glass windows all along the way in case sh!t gets really hairy (I'm on the ground level).

Yes, there are two doors into the area where my "cubicle" is. My "cubicle" is really just a room separated with a cubicle wall. There is a lock on the main door that I can lock. Obviously, it can be kicked open, but that buys me a few seconds. I can sprint out the backdoor through the adjacent room and run straight towards the shipping/receiving dock.

He's got the K with unlimited ammo cheat going.

Well, the gunman would have to get through a whole bunch of state police, then he's got a 1 in 10 chance of picking the right floor. Assuming he does, he has to find his way to the very back of the office and pick my particular door. That's assuming I'm still there at all, as one of the doors to an emergency exit stares are right next to my office which lead out to the back of the building.

Where I am in the office, I would have no problem getting out the back exit unless I was taking a sh!t.

Well, since I don't work, I guess I'll just go with the dorms here If someone ran in, I'd probably hear it before it got anywhere near me. There are 2 sets of stairs, so I could get down that way. If I didn't have time, I could jump off the 3rd floor balcony onto some pretty soft grass. Either way, it wouldn't be favorable; I don't have ANY weapons up here. Hm, oh, I take that back. I have my bike kickstand which is pretty hefty. It's steel and seems to be fairly heavy for its size. Would act almost like a tomahawk.
