I'd love an '08 Avalanche or a G8 GT...but will probably be in the market for the new Sienna SE.
Talk about a bad case of automotive blue b@lls 🙂

Be careful. I owned a 5th gen like you and you'll find posts as recent as 2-3 weeks ago me saying the same thing. And now I drive a Prius.Next car, used G35 sedan/6MT

2.5 miles? Even I say you should be on a bicycle.I'm sorry...
A Prius is a useful tool with no soul. Keep in mind I only commute 2.5miles each way for my job, so fuel economy be damned.
VQ anything>>>>>>Prius

Personally, I'm looking to pick up a late 90's/early 00's Outback for $5k or less. Wife-to-be could use a different car since she always ends up getting door dings and such. And we could use a slightly larger car with more ground clearance for trips to the mountains, dirt roads, etc. Lowered cars are no fun offroad 😛
Piston engine has more power and fuel economy and does not burn oil? That's where the sense is. I like RX-8 handling and 4 seats, but would never get a rotary engined car.
Ford Mustang 5.0 = 412 hp, 390lbft torque 17/26mpg
Mazda RX-8 = 232 hp, 159 lbft torque 16/22mpg
So basically you have a Mustang with a V8 engine that has almost double the horsepower and way more than double torque of the rotary engine, and gets better mileage in the city and way better mileage on the highway. Where's the sense in that?
