Run an ad on craigslist, and ask if the lawyer accepts credit cards.
I'd claim it immediately and worry about it all later. You don't get the money for 2 weeks.

At least five of my HS friends are lawyers; I would go to one of them initially.
I would never use someone I knew personally. That can get messy. But I would ask a lawyer friend who THEY would use, and consider that. I really don't think it would require one of the greatest lawyers in the country. Plenty of people out there with that amount of assets and they aren't all using elite legal talent.

I know the title of the thread set the tone, but I think it is funny that all the non-lawyers would look for a lawyer first, while the lawyer would first go to a CPA.
