If you were stopped by Michael Moore and his 'film crew'...

I'd ask him if that hurt, and when he asked if what hurt I would kick him in the sack, and then I would kick him in the sack again, because he would never expect me to kick him in the sack right after I had already kicked him in the sack just moments ago. God, I rule.

I don't understand why everyone is so hostile to him. While the conclusions he drew in farenheit 9/11 were way more radical than necessary, simply the exposure he gave to the primary source footage of the orwellian tactics of the Bush administration was worth all of the trouble. It's a shame that the movie's message had to be so far removed from its truthful value.

I don't personally care for the man, and I find he has very little ability to actually support his arguments when contested; however, I find it almost worse how so many ignorants instead choose to dismiss him on superficial grounds. There's little mention of his name without the apparent correlate of his state of obesity. This is ad hominem nonsense, and it only makes things worse, imo. Is it not proof that he is winning his propaganda parade when all so many can do is say, "I'd kick him in the nuts" or call him fat?

Fight ignorance, hyperbole, and propaganda on rational grounds, because Moore has proven that he can't.

I would ask him why when he has the power to open the eyes of Americans he chooses to exaggerate things. With a little more research and truthfulness he has the potential to change the world. Take Bowling for Columbine. He is so dead on about Americans being so heavily driven by fear. How does he attempt to prove it? He goes to some podunk town in Canada and shows that people there have their doors unlocked. So? there are towns in the US that are like that. If he wanted to really prove his point he should have gone to a major Canadian city.

The power to do so much good...wasted. 🙁

Wasn't that podunk town Toronto? Like 3 million people podunk. EDIT: It was Sarnia, Winsor and Toronto. Pretty far from being podunk towns.

These threads and these discussions of Moore always amuse me. Its the same everywhere you hear and every thread. People who don't like him never bring up facts about what parts of his films were wrong or have any arguments against his points of view... the number one point that is brought up is something derogitory about his size or looks or something along those lines. Every conversation... watch for it next time. I hear the next presidential debates they are just gonna throw rocks and sticks at each other.

I actually would kick him in the nuts 😕...

I personally liked his movies. I think it's good that he's trying to provoke thought in people, I hope he does it more. It's sickening when people stop questioning what officials are doing. That said, he should shy away from building such a strong agenda into his movies and simply leave it as a documentary.

My response is similar to many others in the thread. I was thinking, "Do you mean before or after I kick him in the nuts?"

I can't decide on a course of action, so I'll post the possibilities and say that I'd decide on the fly which ones to act upon:

1) Every time he used the word "documentary," I'd break a few bones in his body.

2) I'd ask him how it feels to actually have less value to society than Joan Rivers.

3) I'd ask him how it felt to spend so much time and effort getting Kerry elected only to end up losing fairly handily.

BTW, I'm willing to bet he now does his "on the street" interviews with some big body guards around him.

It's not nearly as easy for him to do it as it was when he filmed Roger and Me and BFC. He's more recognized now.
