I would immediately start reading the team playbook and try to learn as much of the offense as possible. I would spend most of spring and summer in intense conditioning. Every now and then I would take the weekend off to enjoy my newfound millions. Schmoozing with my teammates is a good team-building exercise, so I would allow them to get to know me, the guy that is already making more moolah in his rookie year than they ever hope to see. I would contact Nike, Adidas, Powerade, Gatorade, et. al. and give them an opportunity to get in on the ground floor.

Life would be good.

Sorry, but the original question is vague.

Why is it unpatriotic to not want to die for something you don't believe in? I'm sure (and you all correct me if I am wrong) we'd all feel differently if there was an attack on our soil. 9/11 was about Osama and afghanistan - and I was all for that - and would not have minded being drafted for that. With what I know about the current one, no way. . . (not to mention I'm too old anyhow. . .)

After all this you STILL think 9/11 was only about Osama?

I would kiss my wife and 2 sons, tell them I'd see them in a year or so, and be proud to go serve my country, right or wrong.

Thats one of the responsibilities I share with my countrymen in order to have the priviledge to live as a US citizen.

Would I like it? NO. Does that matter? NO. Its my responsibility as a US citizen to come to the aid of my country in times of war.

I'd go,
not because of the war (which i dont agree with), but because of the fact that if i skip out, they would / will draft someone else to replaceme me. So i would be putting that person in danger due to my convenience and thats not something id wanna have on my conscience

Somebody once wrote, hell is the impossibility of reason. That's what this place feels like, hell. I've only been here a week and I hate it already...uh...what was the question?

I wouldn't like it but I would go. I have lived the good life because of this nation, and if the nation needs me, I figure I am in its debt.

If you're not willing to pay the club dues, you shouldn't get all the normal benefits of the club.

Maybe it's sick but I love the randomness of the draft. The majority of the military consists of the poor and middle class. It would be my sick little pleasure to see some richie boys and snotty girls, and even some lazy slobs thrown into helping this country protect itself. Though of course this would mean I'd be stuck there with them. I think it'd be worth it.
