If you remember this, you grew up in the 90s.....

And you guys are both omitting the verse from the extended intro, but to be fair I think it was only used in the first episode.

I graduated from high school in 1994, so I remember all of that stuff, but some of it I was a little old for a the time, pogs for example. 99% of it is spot on though.

Anyone remember triple fat goose?

Yea. I remember some idiots wearing those in the summer time.

Sippin orange juice outta a champagne glass?

My childhood was mid-late 80's and the very early 90's. I remember the Starter pull over jackets. Anyone remember Burple? Those were great. I remember people collecting Popples, too. I had one that flipped into a basketball. 😛 Oh yah, and MC Hammer pants.

I remember lots of shoe fads. Nike Air, Reebok Pump, LA Gear light up shoes, Air Jordans, then in the late 90s shoes alike Airwalk and Vans started to get big. Also, Cross Colors, designs shaved into boys' short hair, Kris Kross (will make ya jump, jump).

What fascinates me is how we finally got old to the point where 90s have a distinct identity now like seen in the chain email.

Back then it was all about how 80s/70s were.

Time flies....

Facebook my ass, I've seen it before and I'm sure he got it from an email who's subject line started FW: FW: FW: FW: FW: FW: FW: FW: FW: FW: FW: FW: FW: FW: FW: FW: FW: FW:

A lot of those were good, but many of them weren't unique to the 90's - they were just things that anyone who was a kid/teenager during the past few decades probably would have done. For example - hop scotch and kickball.

"you remember new kids on the block when they were cool"

I'm a "90's kid" and no they were never cool. This list is failure.

I was thinking the same thing was NKOTB 80s??

decent list.

could've cut out some 80s stuff and made it shorter.

i was too old for some of that stuff...pogs for example. never got into them.

i was 12 in 1990.

The Knicks and the Heat had the best rivalry of any sports in the late 90s. Who can forget when Allan Houston hit the game winning shot in the playoffs with a few seconds remaining 🙂

How does a lifer with over 10K posts necro a 5 year old thread? :awe: :hmm:

Anyway, yeah, this list covers more than just the 90's.

Yeah, I remember/knew of ~90% of that stuff. "Then why don't you marry it!" and Heads Up 7 Up really took me back, although Googling the latter has apparently been around since the mid 1800's.

I'd also have to throw in:

"Clap on. Clap off. Clap on, clap off ... THE CLAPPER"

When I walk into a room and don't know how to turn the lights on, I clap twice just to see if it will work. I get some great reactions 🙂

Edit: whoa, necro

Edit 2: The fresh prince lyrics are getting pretty close - save for the extended version

Edit 3: rollerblades

A necro, but as it's still on topic, does anyone really care?

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 and 3 I played when I was 3. Some old Macintosh I used at my grandparents when I was 4-5. Barney the Dinosaur. Toy Story, etc.
