If you owned a movie theater....

What would your rules be?

Mine would be:

No outside food.
No Children under 4 for G and 5 for PG movies, no children under 7 for PG-13+ movies. An adult must accompany children under 13 for all films.
No cell phones or pagers.
No talking once the previews start.
No 'Gangster' style clothing.
No smoking.
No throwing of objects.
No activities illegal in the public domain.

Failure to comply would bring immediate and permanent removal from my establishment.

Some of those rules would steer away business. If I owned a movie theatre I would want as much business as possible, hence more money for me.

My rules? No carding. I don't believe in censorship so whoever pleased could go to whatever movie they liked. They could wear what they wanted. All I would ask is that they be courteous and not interupt the theatre going experience of others by bringing small children to films where they will be bored and a distraction, of by using cellphones etc during the film. I would also price food more reasonably so as to attract more potential sales.

No 'Gangster' style clothing.
What, so I can't wear a nice suit to the theater? Or by "gangster" clothing, are you talking about baggy jeans, FUBU, and gold chains. Cause I'm pretty sure Jesse Jackson wouldn't like that much...

Build your own home theater and you can have whatever rules you want 😀. And more comfortable chairs (I don't care how great the theater is, my ass hurts after more than 2 hours sitting in the seats).

There's some that do apparently. I'm fairly sure there's one in either columbus or cleveland (ohio)

I wouldn't go to your theater. For one, I couldn't bring my 3 year-old to see Finding Nemo and movies of the like till he was 4 = teh ghey azz rule. Second, discriminating people based on their clothes? Um, yeah.....

My theater would have 2 "baby" rooms in each theater, so that adults could come in with their babies and still see movies. Only one or two theaters in my area have that. Age rules would pretty much stick by movie ratings. basically, pretty relaxed. Outside food, if seen, would be tossed. Wouldn't cost you your ticket tho. cell phones/pagers would be asked to be turned off, but there wouldn't be security outside the place "holding" peoples electronics during the movies.

That's about it. It's just a movie theater........

No 'Gangster' style clothing

thats a big harsh isnt it??? yull ge sued for that one

the other i agree with. also if your cell phone goes off it gets smashed. then you get kicked out

no kids movies (will show pg13 movies for a mattine, never anything g rated)

no homie mofos admitted (ie if i can see your ass/underwear, it is 80 degrees out and you are wearing some bigassed black raiders parka, a stocking cap in the summer, no ebonics spoken in the theater, etc)

no Jessie Jackson or any other political hacks allowed (like fallwell, hart, any of the bushs' or kennedys')

you bring your cell phone and or pager in and we hear or see it, it is gone or you are gone.

in my theater there would be a bunch of couches and recliners and it would be on incline levels so everyone could see perfectly, there would be on tap root beer and other sodas.

And smoking in a theater? Are you crazy? Do you know how much people would get irritated? Just because you wanna kill yourself doesn't mean others would have to sit through a movie inhaling second hand smoke.
