Which other movies would you recommend? I just got done watching it, and I must say... it rocked!

i loved enemy of the states. if you haven't seen spy games yet, that's awesome. mission impossible 2, ronin's pretty entertaining.

The Jackal (not quite the same genre, but still pretty good..)
The Chill Factor (Cuba Gooding, Jr)
Chain Reaction (Keanu Reeves)

The last two are sort of grade B, but are good rentals if you haven't seen 'em..

Arlington Road. Much more serious conspiracy thriller. Way more believable.

Oh yeah, Ronin rocks too, but it's more like an action movie. And, of course, Conspiracy Theory, Eraser, The Net.

wow I can't believe how many responses this has got with movies that I haven't even seen! 😀

thanks for all of the tips, I'll make sure to rent some of these on DVD sometime

The JACKAL (w/ Bruce Willis) is a stinking pile of mastadon dung.

ARlington road is cool though. One of those that piss you off, but still enjoyable, although everytime I see Jeff Bridges I think of STARMAN.

<< Conspiracy Theory >>

Conspiracy Theory was BORING... my gf and I went to see it at the threaters, and we both wanted to leave half way through...

Couldnt wait for the damn movie to end...

<< The Chill Factor (Cuba Gooding, Jr) >>

I liked Enemy of the State but detested this movie. 😛 I kept thinking Richard Greco (but it's not!) whenever the clerk appeared, but then again, that probably added to the B-grade effect.

<< Ronin kicks @ss too >>

You can say ass now.....

I heard that a sequel to Enemy of the State is being written....don't know if the same characters will be back.

Bait was entertaining!

Guys Guys Guys!

The original movie that "The Jackal" was based on; "The Day of The Jackal." Stars Edward Fox, which in my opinion is about as realistic post WW2 conspiracy as you can get.

Also You might want to consider "The Odessa File." With Jon Voight

And "No Way Out." With Kevin Costner.(yeh I dont much care for costner either but he gave an excellent performance in this movie which has a good ending.

Those are my picks.

<< yeah, but Jack Black met the business end of that sweet-daddy machine gun >>

Which made his part so much better 🙂

You might like Point of No Return with Brigette Fonda. It's based on the French film La Femme Nikita. It's got some conspiratorial elements, but from the point of view of the conspirators instead of the victims. Like working for the Smoking Man.

:Q[GASP!!!]:Q

You saw La Femme Nikita and you dare mention its american remake in the same sentence?!?!?! For Shame. The Americanized version S U C K E D!!!

Though I would also point out that La Femme wasnt really a conspiracy theory movie....but thats fodder for a different cannon.

DAMN YOU! 😀 While I was reading the thread I was thinking that "The Day of The Jackal" is MUCH MUCH better then the remake of it a few years back. It is at my local Bockbusters on DVD, although since it was pre-DVD era, there are no extra features on it.

That machine gun was so cool...
