Verizon FIOS doesn't have the same limitations at U-Verse, I think Verizon does fiber to the home, att does fiber to the node and then has some kind of high speed DSL link to the house

Yup. AT&T is rumored to be considering some kind of new DSL technology (I forgot the name) that will dramatically increase the bandwidth.

I'd go with Fios because it seems to have the most bandwidth.

That said, if you're on a tight budget it might make sense to go with comcast during their introductory period, then cancel and get Fios once the discounted intro rate is gone .....

But, I'd rather not deal with comcast if Fios were an option.

I had Cox (comparable to Comcast from what I hear) and couldn't be happier I switched to fios

Channel bonding is what they will be using to get more hd feeds with their Fiber to the node technology.

You need to talk to people in your area about their service since quality tends to differ depending on where you live with exception of satellite unless you happen to not be inside of a spotbeam (you need to research that). Otherwise, the best I can tell you is to not go with Comcast. Their quality assurance is very poor I don't expect that to change anytime soon.

As much as I hate Comcast, I do like their bundle offerings. Extended Cable w/Starz, Encore, HBO, NFL Netowrk.... Internet, and Digital Phone for $150 (before taxes) is a pretty decent deal IMO.

I currently have comcrap. internets + analog basic cable (no set top box)= $105.

I just placed an order for FIOS. I'm going to be getting 15/2 internets, TV w/ a DVR HD tuner (with all HBO's), one regular HD tuner and a standard def tuner, and phone for about 109+20(STB DVR w/ hbo)+10(HD STB)+5(std def STB) = $144... the extra set top boxes really pad the price up. I wish you didnt need them to watch most of the channels can't get everything you wish for i guess. I am also getting a free 19" HDTV. seems like a good deal and i'm getting alot more for paying a little extra
