Some place cold and with lots of trees. Lots of lakes would help.
I suggest Minnesota, or upstate NY in the Adirondacks.

North Carolina towns worth living in? Columbia, Franklin, maybe Murphy or Edenton. Worth living in in a trailer you can haul off ahead of a hurricane? Buxton.
I spent a week in downtown Nashville and it does nothing for me. It was pretty dead.

Every season, every scene, every type of topography(ocean, mountains, valleys, plains, forests), no natural disasters, some of the best schools and universities (Princeton and Rutgers), diversity, many cities for job opportunities, high salaries (I believe 2 or 3 of the top 5 richest counties in the US), decent statewide public transport, close to NYC AND Philly, (I can go on all day.)

.... which would you pick?
I added my 3 favorite cities in the poll for excitement. I also enjoy Nashville and Austin, but the former is just for country music (the girls are eh), and the latter is too hot, so I include these three.
