gotta have love.
where does the first one say "no love". it just says "no long term relationship".
sounds like that could mean 'lots of love from 'lots of dates to me.
sounds like a lot of sex without emotion. just hammering away. meh
"no long term relationship" means not being committed for a long time, or not being married.
so what is a long time? you have a gf/bf for 5 years and then move on to another relationship?

some people never get married = no long term relationship. they don't find it necessary.

I would call 5 years a long term relationship

i just assumed the first scenario meant being alone, never finding love.
how many times have you fell in love? i mean, you can love and not end up having it be a long term thing.

i guess you could experience true "love" this way - albeit a very fleeting kind? then again, some people have no use for "love", per se.

Mosh is right. I didn't mean you will never be in love by the first one, it's just that you will never be involved in a 10,15, 20 year long relationship. However, you will be involved in relationships.

Pretty hypothetical anyway ... but give me a family over money any day. Hell, if I wanted money I certainly wouldn't be living where we do now :)

Only being 18 it's hard to make a decision such as this....however I strongly feel that love is more important to me than money....and Id go with #2

Wow.... to me that is a fruitless proposition not even worth treading on. To me, love encompasses the ability to make a relationship long-lasting. Therefore, if its not long-term, then it wasn't love to begin with.

No such thing as a need or want that money can't fulfill. That is the whole point of money!
Give me the $500k a year, and I'll do that for 10 years and retire. I'll still be young enough to start a family and with more then 4 million in the bank I am sure I can find love.

Really I would be willing to split the diffrent, $250k a year and a wife that doesn't hate me.

Of course you will. With 500k a year you'll have skanks lining up to try and dig your gold.

Walmart though? Can't I do something else like shovel sh|t for a living or live in a cave with bears? You've seen the people there...the life force has been sucked right out of them. They're just empty husks.
