I had a '63 and later a '67 with the 140. They were free giveaways from family friends who were tired of the upkeep during my high school days in the late seventies. The '63 had a four on the floor, and the '67 had the 2 -speed auto. It was actually fun.The Chevy Corvair came in a number of varieties. All were rear engine air cooled flat 6 engines. Production started in 1959 as a 1960 model and ended in 1969.
1960 - 4 door sedan and 2 door coupe
1961 - 4 door sedan, 4 door wagon (Lakewood) , 2 door coupe - Monza model being the top model
1962 through 1964 - 4 door sedan, 4 door wagon (dropped after 1962), 2 door coupe, 2 door convertible - Monza model being the top model with the 2 door coupe and convertible available with the Spyder option (150hp turbo charged). Spyder became a model instead of an option in 1964.
1962 through 1965 Chevrolet also produced a Corvair line of trucks which included the Greenbrier Sport wagon (seating for 9), Corvan 95 (panel van), Loadside pickup, and Rampside pickup (the passenger side of the pickup bed had a gate which folded to the street to form a ramp).
1965/1966 - Body style changed with 2 door, 4 door model cars (500, Monza, and Corsa). The Corsa was either a 180hp turbo charged engine or a 140 hp, 4 carburetor engine. Trucks were discontinued after 1965.
1967 through 1969 the Corsa model was dropped and so was the turbo charger. You could still order a Monza with the 140 hp 4 carburetor engine.
The 2 different profile tires are interesting. Never seen something like that on a "road car".This is not a bad one to drive around (270 MPH capable) - Hennessey Venom GT or the F5 for a little more speed (about 301 MPH)

Earthroamers are amazing...the ultimate zombie apocalypse vehiclesAlthough I saw a Sportsmobile 4x4 van on the road earlier this year & got hooked:

They don't look to be as durable as a UNIMOG, but would be way easier to fix in NA though...

Staggered wheels are pretty common on rwd. Narrower/smaller fronts facilitate turning.
And cheaper than an Earthroamer.you could build quite a 'camper' on this

If i would also get a blank check for the fuel for the rest of my life, i would get a pimped up maurauder with internal modifications for a more comfortable ride and seats.

Yeah, some fancy camper I suppose, including "the works." An exploring house on wheels, complete with gym, stereo, internet, bike, home theater, bath, kitchen, fridge/freezer.![]()
UNIMOG Camper
I have staggered 275/315mm tires... just never seen mixed low and regular profiles like that.
