If you got a new car would you get it with Nav?

At some point, you'd think that a suffering manufacturer would start integrating navigation into all their cars: I can see someone being tempted by nice, standard navigation (saving ~$1500) on a brand they might not normally consider. (I'm looking at you, Chrysler!)

I guess it's hard for manufacturers to give up the automatic $1000 profit they get when they sell you navigation -- I can't believe the cost difference between a radio & radio+navigation is more than ~$200.

I would pay up to $1500 to have a OEM Nav. It's nice to have it all look clean. Sometimes Double DINs look fitting

No way. With rare exceptions they are over priced, have crappy interfaces, and are difficult/expensive to update. They look cool and have big screens but just aren't worth it to me. But I'll say this, I don't travel much so I don't use them much at all and just use google maps, I won't even buy an iOS nav app I use it so little.

Yes, they are so nice, and don't you have to have it for certain features?

Yup. We're currently looking to buy and one of the features we would like is an integrated rear entertainment system...

They all (well, all the one's I've checked so far) make you upgrade to a NAV based system, *then* upgrade further to the rear seat DVD option.

First world problems. :colbert:
