It might be cheaper but I doubt you'll get as much out of it as you would belonging to a gym, that is if you are serious about getting into shape.Originally posted by: Zysoclaplem
I have weights at home, but just a simple crappy bench.
Perhaps I will just buy a better bench, with leg exercises and what not, and do it at home.
Sounds cheaper even in the short run.
Also, being a member at a gym creates motivation that a home gym couldnt provide.
that is what I try to tell everyone about home gyms but they just do not understand it.
granted sometimes homegyms are better (if you have a family and kids, etc) but if you have 90 minutes of a day that you can use 3-4 dats a week and physically get out of your place and go to the gym, the benefit wil be much better.
90 minutes!!?
Yowsers I don't plan to stay that long. An hour at most.
Yah I was talkin about the 10/15 mins it takes to get there and back, and if you have to go change in the locker room, etc.
My workouts are no longer than an hour either. When I go do legs by themself I'm only there for like 30-40 minutes.
That sounds more reasonable.
