mario 64 was ok....i never had n64, but it does become very repetitive and the camera angles get me annoyed. Best Mario...between Mario 3 and Super Mario World.

Super Mario Bro 3 has to be the best Mario rendition of all time.

Mario 64 showcased what the N64 was capable of doing, and represented a whole new way of gaming. 3D control was frustrating at times.

MarioKart 64.... YAY!

Mario Kart 64 is TERRIBLE ... but that's for another discussion.

Super Mario Kart > *

I mean how the hell can you take away the jump/slide, which is the basis for perfecting turns in the game, and take the game seriously? Mario Kart 64 was completely made for people who suck at games to make them feel like they were good.

Umm the jump/powerslide was in MK64... SMK was good, yes, but MK64 was lots of fun. 4 people, all drunk/stoned/whatever, racing on Rainbow Road was the best thing ever.

they completely redid it though so that you got some stupid extra boost based on how many times you could flick the joystick back/forth.

and that in turn ruined the game because it introduced the snaking technique. if you don't know what that is, search on google video.

Boosting around the course was the best thing ever. By snaking I'm guessing you mean boosting back and forth across the straightaways?

edit: can't check the videos now, at work :(

I really enjoyed that game. I don't understand why so many people hate the camera control. I barely remember it ever getting in my way... I mean the inability to turn the camera in super paper mario was much more obnoxious.

i really liked it. the camera control was definitely a downside, but i got used to it. it was the killer ap for N64 until Goldeneye came out.
