I would have taken school more seriously. I mean who knew it wasn't about girls and brew? The strange thing is that now I'm working with animals, and after talking to my mother one day, I was reminded that as a kid, I used to say that was all I wanted to do. I forgot my childhood dream, and then realized it by making a lot of mistakes. I love my life now. I don't feel like slitting my wrists on my way to work in the morning.

EDIT: After some more thought I wish I hadn't hurt anyone in the process of becoming who I am today.

start a poll and see how many married people are just fine with their marriage. It just seems like a lot of people regret marriage because the opposite is never mentioned out of the blue.

I knew a girl in college, we were close friends. I probably only had to say 3 words to her and she would have been mine forever, instead I chickened out and didn't realize how perfect she was until school was long over.

You can't post something like that and not provide more details. What happened when she saw you? Have you talked with her about it?

I regret dropping out of college in '91. Because of that I ended up wasting almost 10 years of my life, essentially for nothing.

okay it's depressing the number of people here who regret getting married. :(

I actually wish I would have gotten married at an earlier age. I got married around 30 and wish we would have gotten married about 25 instead. I love hanging out with my family and nothing makes me happier than my boys running up to give me hugs. If I wasn't so old I'd want more kids.

no regrets
im curious to see how some things would have turned out if i had made different decisions, but that would mean my life as i know it presently would not exist, which is definitely not worth it. so yeah, no regrets - look fwd not backward!

I would have remembered to set up my coffee pot 2 days ago so that yesterday in the morning I would have fresh coffee. I remembered yesterday though, and my coffee this morning was most delicious!

The good thing is that I've gotten to the point where I'm no longer certain that I would have changed things. I'm finally able to look back on our relationship nostalgically as a closed book, rather than with huge amounts of pain and regret.

Fixed for me. Wish some of my family and friends would forget about her though so I could get to the point in the second paragraph.
