If you could only play 3 games next year....

What would they be? Specifically focus on New games coming out in 2012, not old stuff that you haven't gotten to or want to play again.

For me, I am a HUGE RPG fan and play mostly them. With that being said, I am planning on playing:

Amalur: The Reconing
Diablo 3
Heart of the Swarm (always assuming it comes out in 2012)

Why only focus on new games?

The only new game I can think of off the top of my head is Heart of the Swarm. The other two would be Team Fortress 2 and Skyrim.

That's the only thing on my list at the moment. I have no interest in anything else yet... But that may change when I hear/know more about other things. I buy maybe 4 games per year as it stands now.

X: rebirth. I'm going to stop playing anything else when I buy it so I can cure my ADD a bit and focus on it.

Although - I will most likely wait for some reviews. With the state of PC gaming what it is nowadays I'm not compelled to buy anything on release day. I'll be really disappointed if they dumb down the X series like they have everything else.

While I get that Multi-player has a virtual unlimited play potential, I think you would find Skyrim has almost that much. Been playing it for 30-40 hours now and haven't even scratched the surface.

Hell, maybe FarCry3....although from it looks of it they're getting away from the "realism" they were striving for in 2. And they're leaving the unique African setting they had for a tropical island....because we need another tropical island FPS. Hmmmm - maybe I won't be getting it right away after all. I hope they at least keep the sandbox gameplay.
