That's only because I'll want to play both the original and ME2 before ME3 comes out. I doubt that Diablo III will make it in 2012 for some reason.

Sadly, i don't really know of anything coming out for 2012 i am truely interested in other than Borderlands 2, if it even makes it out next year.
 
Easy choices:

1. Mass Effect 3
2. Diablo 3 (although reservations about the on-line component and auction house thing)
3. Starcraft 2, Heart of the Swarm

Also want to play MW3 when it gets cheaper, and interested in Torchlight 2.

I am curious. Based on the polarizing viewpoints of the reviews of ME1 and 2, are you not concerned that playing them back to back won't taint your perceptions of either of the game relative to the other?

Plus ME3 is more or less an unknown quantity at this point. Depending on which way it goes (either more RPG like 1 or more ARPG like 2, or as has been suggested more FPS than either of the first two), it could drastically improve the experience as a whole or it could leave you really wishing that you had those hours of your life back to do differently with.
 
Well, since it has to be new games it would be:

But if it could be any games it would be:

Either of Amalaur: The Reckoning or Borderlands 2, depending on how they eventually turn out.

Would've been Stalker 2 at the top, but it took it in the knee....

King bounty warriors of the north (probably only one here who will play this game)
Mass Effect 3 (if ea didn't break it like dragon age; also origin might kill it)

Why only new games? Do everyone really just play games from <3 months ago at any one time and then drop them? 😕 I'm genuinely curious. I played one game that came out in 2011 this year; portal 2. I'll probably still play Civ 4 in 2012..

Anyway. sticking to the rules, I might play:
Crusader Kings 2
Diablo 3 (if it goes on sale. But it won't so probably not)
Mechwarrior online

Maybe change D3 for Tribes Ascend, since it's FtP, might as well check it out..
