The ability to change the Earth's rotation.

So if I was driving and the sun was getting in my eyes, I could just move it somewhere else.

What's with people picking omniscience? If you go big, at least pick omnipotence. You can always then give yourself the power of omniscience as well.

If that's not allowed I'd want full control over any and all energy. Since that also means full control over everyone's brain functions it gives you full mind control, it gives you invisibility (as you are no longer bound to your physical location and body), and any of those other powers.

Ugh, damn you for using your energy powers to read my mind and steal what I was going to say! :( It's actually probably even more powerful than you're suggesting given the bond that holds molecules together is technically energy. In other words, you pretty much become Dr. Manhattan... blue penis and all.

If I could have only one super power I'd want invincibility. It isn't all that useful on its own, because it wouldn't confer any extra strength or real power... but I should be clear: the type of invincibility I'm talking about would mean you would be truly unchanging and unchangeable. So immortality would be part of it.

No aging, no ability to gain or lose weight, just locked permanently for eternity in your current state of being.

That's what I'd choose.

Omniscience is the cheatz0r's power; you can turn it into anything else.
Lets make this more interesting.
What "classic" superpower (i.e. from the golden age of marvel) would you want to have?

So, no immortality, time travel, omniscience, etc .. and ofc no "pheromone d*ck" either, its PG13 only.

I'd love to be able to time travel. Or to be able to stop and resume time at will.

The only reason omnipotence would be stronger would be because you do not need 'starting energy', you could create it out of thin air. For the rest it's pretty much as powerful considering you can basically create planets to store all knowledge in, create physical copies of you in case they found a way to destroy your state of being, and you can warp space and time.

The power of Galactus or the Silver Surfer? ;)
Or how about Doctor Strange's power?

And then someone dumps you onto the surface of one of the outer planets of the solar system, and you'll be sitting there forever frozen but unable to die. Think there's several short SF stories on that subject. Being thrown into the sun would actually have pretty much the same effect.

Teleportation would be fun. Especially if it included anything you were touching.

To have the ability to take on the superpowers of everyone else and keep them collectively until I do not want them.

The ability to go back in time to retry, as well as the ability to undo that retry in case it just made things worse.

I know, I've considered that and even the much more mundane possibility of someone just putting you in the foundation of a building.

I guess you wouldn't want to draw a lot of attention to having that power.

I wouldn't use it for anything flashy, I'd just go live in the wilderness and read, paint, think.

Even if you got caught on some ice planet for a billion years, eventually something is going to happen to where you end up back in the domain of interesting events. Even being frozen and trapped in your own mind on a distant moon beats ceasing to exist, IMO.

Absolute, and undetectable control over anything and everything that runs on electricity.

....now taking bids on "What the NSA, FBI, CIA, knows about {anyone}. Oh wait... money is irrelevant, now that the global banking system is my pocketbook..

So, a few billion years from now, when the sun goes red giant, you'd be pretty bored sitting there watching solar flares and stuff.
