It's not about the grapes, it's about experimentation in the growing of the grapes. You could just replicate your favourite wine if you are just looking for a drink.

Like I said, if it was me. I am more interested in the development of the hydroponic system than the actual wine. I don't even drink lol.

Until you realize whats on the label is not actually whats in the bottle.

• The government allows wineries to blend other varieties into the wine and still call it a single varietal as long as it is at least 75% that varietal.
• Wineries can blend up to 5% of another vintage (year grapes harvested) into the wine and still declare it a vintage wine
• Most producers add a variety of ingredients to enhance flavours, create specific aromas, and build texture.
  • Powdered tannins might be added early in the winemaking process to add complexity
  • Producers add oak chips, powders, or staves to ensure a more even distribution of these flavours
  • And then there are all additives like Potassium sorbate, Poatassium metabisulfite, sulphur dioxide
  • Sugar
  • And of course there is yeast, and each strain provides a different flavor

So yeah the terroir...more like the master blender who concocts a flavor they think the consumer will enjoy.

I thought Wine had rules like Bourbon, but nope, Bourbon is damn strict - wine is not.

I was actually thinking about tomatoes!

They have tomato in vertical farms and there are robots that can harvest them.

I grew tomatoes in my HA controlled aquaponic setup. Lights were turned on and off at programmed time and the pump that transfer water from aquarium tank to growing vessel was on timer, 45 second pumping every 15 min.











Had Romaine lettuce, bell pepper and cherry tomatoes growing, all I did was feed my aquarium fishes as per usual. I just put some seed I got from the fruit/vegetables I bought, put them on a paper towel in a box to germinate then transferred to small aquaponic baskets.

I also had a pierzo-electric hydroponic setup where a pierzo disk mists the solution at set intervals and the lights are on top.



ESP32 controlled PDU. That 5vdc switching power supply feeds the ESP32, that particular receptacle location has direct power feed. The other 5 are switched by relays. All controlled from HomeAssistant.
