/me is shocked by all of the people in here who actually say that they would kill someone. Murder is wrong, no matter the person. You all are no better than those that you would kil, and those of you that think you are serving some higher moral imperative are just delusional.

its a game. get over it.

Murder is a game?

Maybe you didn't catch the "going back in time part"

I don't know about you, but I like to think I'm better than Adolf Hitler.

I imagine those of you who would kill Jesus are either joking or have serious issues - especially since he eventually gets killed anyway.

I personally don't care enough to kill anyone in the past - though getting into a fist fight with someone like Ghandi strikes me as having serious humor potential. I bet he's tougher than he looks.

rofl, fist fight with ghandi ftw

Judas Iscariot.

Runner-up: Benedict Arnold
Did you choose Judas because you hate Christianity?
Clever :)

Denis Leary's take on what Jesus would be like if he wasn't killed when he was is the best :)

There are a number of people the world would have been better off without.

Generally, I wouldn't want to murder anyone. Though if presented the opportunity with the knowledge of the consequences of allowing them to continue on their course, there are some people I would have little compunction relieving of their earthly existence.

No, I'd leave history alone. For all we know, if Hitler was killed, maybe someone else would have risen up in his place... someone who was able to convince some of the greatest scientific minds of the time not to leave the country, but rather to stay and develop nuclear weapons.

The best choice. We know what has been done and we know the consequences of that being done. We wouldn't have a clue what would occur if some pivotal path of history gets cut short.

Not only do we not know what would happen if Hitler were killed prematurely, but there's something else that should be considered: Hitler is a beacon(for lack of a better term) in history, showing Evil clearly and also Humanities ability to become Evil. Without that beacon in place, who knows what kind of horrors may have occurred in the last 60 Years.

I'd [try] kill myself. Create an infinite loop in time. Cause the universe to crash. GG.

That would be interesting.

A reboot is all that's needed to fix that! :D

except that it takes about 6 billion years to reboot the universe.

Yeah, that's the cost of god using an MS OS.

"Saint" Cylla (SP?). Burned down the Library of Alexandria because it was run by "heretics". Records point to them being close to calculous and Newtonian physics. Imagine where we'd be with another 1500 years of scientific research?

Actually, you're just delusional.

There, I posted just as poignant an argument as you.

Murder is a game?

This is a discussion thread. People will give controversial answers to spark discussion. No where does it say that by responding in this thread with an answer that we are obligated to act on it if given the chance or that we specifically condone killing of any kind. Are you next going to accuse us of supporting capital punishment and abortion?

If everyone just responded with "killing is wrong" in some form, there wouldn't be much discussion (although it's certainly a discussion in itself!), and you wouldn't be able to post your high-horse-like response to much effect.

Nor is this thread really about time travel logica/physical/metaphysical impossibilities. It's a good subject as well, but if everyone just started talking about that, it'd miss the point of the thread.

The OP is interested in finding out who people theoretically wish to "kill". It's silly to assume that people's answers are 100% representative of their moral stance on murder. Especially when you contrive it to: "If you give an answer, you are crazy OR you condone murder and are worse than some of the named people who have caused countless deaths."
