Who said he had blonde hair and blue eyes? He was supposed to be a Jew...

The official LDS portrait of Jesus shows him with blond hair and blue eys.[/quote]

Actually, their official portrait of him looks like this

But to stay on topic, I think it would be great to have my grandfather back

My ex-girlfriend's grandfather.

Somehow I think everything would have turned out differently if he were still around. He didn't die of natural causes :(

I'll second that

Actually, you gotta understand that many of the great minds from a long time ago were able to discover and invent so many things simply because they were the only ones that were educated at that time, and had the opportunities to study, travel, and talk to so many of the other intelligentsia. For all we know, da Vinci might just be an average joe. :p

They certainly wouldn't know enough about modern science and it might take a long time for them to understand it.

I mean, I could imagine you bringing da Vinci back and the conversation might go like this
"What's that? Electromagnetic waves you say? And nuclear energy? Wha? Woah. DId you say plutonium? What's plutonium? And why are those machines blinking at me?!?! Relativity? Whose relative?"

(P.S. I have no clue whether those concepts were already around when he was alive since my history sucks, but perhaps to illustrate my pt, let's say you had picked galileo instead :p)

Some info on Mr. Leonardo

He conceived of ideas vastly ahead of his own time, notably conceptually inventing the helicopter, a tank, the use of concentrated solar power, the calculator, a rudimentary theory of plate tectonics, the double hull, and others too numerous to mention.
^ This was back in the mid-1500s.

No matter how you look at it, he was a frickin genius. If he were to spend some time in our current age, think of how influential he could be.

Wow this thread is kinda sad.

I know, I feel kind of bad for making everyone make a decision like this.

When I made it, I thought everyone would be picking Ghandi/MLK/JFK/ etc etc, but seeing as how this thread has gone... :(

I was gonna say Hitler, too.

Anyways...what if the person you wanted to bring back was happier being dead?

Perhaps you should have specified a political figure, but either way.

Person has no knowledge of death when brought back to life.

Are you referring to suicidals? That's one reason you have to choose carefully.

If you brought that sorry-ass motherfvcker back, I'd kill him.

I second that.

The only guy I would love to bring back alive is Muhammed, so that we can charge him for crimes against humanity and promptly hang him for it

Mohammed

Although I am a christian, I can but hope that the mans message was misinterpreted and he could get his more radical followers to chill out.
