Must be nice. I wish I could find a historical chart but can't seem to find any good one. Closest thing I found is this:
http://www.ontariogasprices.com/Retail_Price_Chart.aspx but it only does Ontario average, not per city. Big cities like Toronto have really cheap gas so it kinda lowers the results. But even Toronto is no way near under a dollar per gallon. (1 gallon = 3.8 litres)
I just remember gas stations having to change all their signs after 9/11 because gas jumped from about 80 cents to over a dollar per litre and most signs only had 2 digits. That's about $3.8/gal. So $1/litre cost's 40 bucks to fill a 40 litre tank. Right now the gas is at $1.40 so it usually cost's me around $60-$70 to fill my car depending on if I redline it or not.
Also not sure if the taxes are included in the gas station displayed price, probably not, so add another 15% to the price.
