Samuel Adams OctoberFest is a bit of a darker beer than Corona but it has a really nice flavor
Grab it while you can, they only produce it Aug-Oct

I don't really like the regular Sam Adams lager. that really IS bitter....tastes soapy almost. Their seasonal brews are very good, though.

Either way, I'd classify it as "sweet." Same with maple syrup.
I actually also consider Corona to be sweet.
Maybe we just have differing definitions of sweet and bitter?
I consider Guiness to be "bitter" and Rolling Rock to be "sweet" as well....

Although in the realm of beers, which are universally some degree of bitter just by virtue of the ingredients of which they're made. And on the scale of beers, Corona is a just below fermented fruit juice on the bitterness scale

Beer.... mmmm. If you haven't acquired the taste of different types of beer, drink more and learn I drink mostly local micro brews. Bottled beers (i never drink canned) are Heineken, Guiness, and occassionally Sam's. I tend to like darker beers.

i think he's talking about the "alcopop" (ie, the malt beverage, like smirnoff ice or skyy blue)
corona is good to break into beer, but i will never drink it now unless it's bought for me ice cold & with a lime. too many better beers out there to waste on corona.
