Have you ever SEEN a piranha? They're bigger than your throat... if you managed to get all of it in your mouth and somehow swallow, peristalsis probably would not be strong enough with the throat stretched so much. You would probably choak and suffocate.

The answer relies on knowing how piranhas eat. As a school they can strip an entire human body of flesh in a matter of minutes, but one lone piranha is too small to do much damage, so given that in the process of handling it, it bites a chunk of your fingers, and maybe another of your lips, it wont be able to eat much more and would just slide down your esophagus and into your stomach.

I meant baby piranha i guess .. the ones that are between 1 and 1 1/2 inches long.
