If Texas and California fought a war, who wins?

btw, it depends on where this battle fought. Lots of fatties in Texas and they wouldn't be able to get past the Sierras if they have to come into CA; and it's really damn hilly in the rest of the state.

Federal military is out of the equation, both facilities, weaponry and manpower.

Sierras do not extend South to the border, Troops could roll through AZ either way with serious obstacles depending on the below issue.

Also you state that other states are to remain neutral. Does this mean supplies, assistance or no using airspace/land?

What is to stop Texans from lining up along AZ and NV borders.

Choke off water and utility power.

CA does not have the ability to choke TX.

blue crabs > king crabs (which aren't crabs and afaik aren't harvested in california anyway)

No way blue crabs are better than king crab or even snow crab.

No, they're not harvested in CA waters. But they are harvested just North in the waters off Alaska.

I'll tell ya' what. Miles upon miles of some of the most barren, rugged desert in the US.
And the other side of that is mountains for almost the entire length of the state.
Texas might win at everything else but invading California from the continental US would be very difficult.

Easy. TX is the only state with it's own power grid. CA imports a good chunk of electrical power so all TX need do is cut 'em off.

I'll bet on TX "manpower" in a fight any day over that of CA.

Industry? Is CA going to defeat TX with Ipads and scented candles?

Agriculture? Texans will be eating steak (and fish and shrimp). Otherwise they are located in the SE, the breadbasket of the USA. They can get what they need from the SE states quite easily.

Trade? What kind? There are more 4X the number of military contractors located just to the East of TX than located in CA.

Also, TX has better access to the Atlantic.

TX has more than twice the oil refining capacity of CA.

CA has a lot to offer (weather, beaches, mountains, and cuisine), but little, IMO, helpful in a war.

blue crabs are way tastier, they're just more difficult to pick.

and california can't claim alaska.

a bunch of oklahomans invaded california, so it can't be that hard. and all that okie blood explains why californians are so jealous of texas.

So did the Old South. Volunteer militias and rednecks can throw a few haymakers, but what happens when Tesla and SpaceX start rolling robots and armored vehicles off their factories?

You understand Texas has an air force right? Before California did any kind of re-tool Texas could lay waste to their industries.

If the war started tomorrow with no Federal intervention California wouldn't stand a chance. When Texas starts rolling tanks and sending jets Cali is fucked.

Texas can roll on Cali any times it wants (and lets be honest most other states). What stops them? Federal government? They don't want to?

They had open roads, weren't being shot at, and frankly the Californians probably felt sorry for them.
I mean, you feel back for Okies don't you?:hmm:😉

First, California will not be willing to go to Texas for the war, so Texas will have to travel.

When Texans get to California, they'll find out there are other things than dirt, and lower levels of humidity than 95%, and comfortable temperatures.

And then Texans will beg to get to move. War over.

CA wouldn't be able to field a militia, its filled with liberals. They'd spend more time protesting then actually fighting. TX would steam roll them in a matter of hours.
