First, California will not be willing to go to Texas for the war, so Texas will have to travel.

When Texans get to California, they'll find out there are other things than dirt, and lower levels of humidity than 95%, and comfortable temperatures.

And then Texans will beg to get to move. War over.

Yeah, all that would be great, then they realize what kind of ass-backwards politics rule California and would run back as soon as they could.

I think the deciding factor is organization.

TX would rapidly form itself into a military structure.

Most Californians would be like WTF? Whatever advantages Cali might have will never materialize before TX steamrolled them.

And this is coming from a guy who hates Texas.

You would have whole cities in Cali declaring neutrality and passing laws forbidding participation in the war. San Fran comes to mind.

schneiderguy will defect from his crazy librul environs to glorious Texas. BoomerD couldn't stand to be alone, so he will naturally follow schneiderguy. Then California will only have JulesMaximus and Craig234. Texans have less manlets, too. We win.

EDIT: Shit, I forgot about Baked. He can negotiate the inevitable treaty formed in the wake of Texan triumph.

Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but Moonbeam is also from Cali. Three strikes and Cali's out!

That's an advantage for them. Don't underestimate psychological warfare. I foresee a hundred thousand Texans consumed in their own self-hate, lying dead in the fields with the physical projection of their own physiological inadequacies grasped tightly within their cold, dead hands.

Texas -no doubt. At the risk of overgeneralization, just about everyone in Texas has a firearm and the folks there are not afraid to use them. Texas also has massive oil deposits which it could leverage to hire mercenaries and buy military equipment. On the other hand, California is flat broke and has some of the strictest gun laws in the nation.

Boomer isn't in CA.

Olds is. He's gonna have a full basement.

And since I don't think TX is sending steers as the invading force, the total result of a TX invasion will just be some new fabulous and colorful ten gallon hats in SF boutiques after the "army" quickly gets assimilated in trendy neighborhoods.
