If I ever had a Ferarri, I would never take it to the mall.

I went to the mall yesterday (Willowbrook mall in Houston, TX), and right in the first parking spot, was a really nice Ferarri. I think it was a Modena. I saw a whole lot of people, stopping to look at it, then circling it, peeking inside, and then **Touching** it. Some were touching the windows, some the side view mirrors, and some were just feeling the emblem. If that was my car, I would be kinda worried, someone might key it or scratch it.

I actually see quite a few Ferraris parks around our "red light" district. I saw a yellow 550 Maranello parked outside of our local P.F. Chang's the other day as well.

Fingerprints...I can deal with that.

But NO ONE has the balls to key a Ferrari. A lowly Civic or Accord, sure. But anyone can apprecitae a 360 Modena.

Think about that kid who shot the 3 cops...there are some seriously fvcked up people out there. That said, if I owned a Ferrari, I would drive it everywhere.

Note: I'm not trying to compare shooting a cop to keying a car, I realize they are completely different

i'd drive it, and then paid some dude $$$ to stand and guard it while i shop 😀

I saw this in Wichita, KS. There were 2 HUUUUUUGE guys guarding a Bentley Arnage on HUUUUUUGE chrome wheels outside of a club.

Yah, I touched it and ran.

No satisfaction in popping a cap up someone's @ass. The real satisfaction is in "Curb Stomping" someone.

i wouldnt go as far as killing someone, because i couldnt drive my car while incarcerated. but i feel a nice pistol-whipping gets the message across and you should have the money to settle the assault case that is soon to follow.

1 Year ago, I was dining out with some friends in downtown DC (Georgetown). After eating we were heading back to the car which was parked near Water street and came upon three kids no joke engraving thier initials on the hood of his 2001 Ferrari 550 Barchetta with some kind of cheap Spyderco Knife. Needless to say I had to keep my friend from going ballistic and killing these punks. We detained them until the MPD showd up. They were quite frightened with my friend going ballistic, and me with my SIG P228 (all I had to do was pull my jacket back and put my hand on it when I ordered them down on the ground.

I have to ask him how much thier parents had to pay in restitution. I imagine it is not cheap to re-paint a Ferrarri hood.

I am surprised you could identify the type of blade. Spydercos are actually pretty nice. Did you expect kids to carry a Sebenza or something?

Actually, If I remember correcltly the MPD guys said that these same kids had done the same thing three weekends in a row to a selection of high dollar cars in Georgetown...so I imagine it wasn't cheap.

I'd be too worried about some jerkwad with a beater tapping bumpers on it. But then if it was just a replica car... well...

Besides, if you're rich enough to have a Modena shouldn't you be one of those "personal shoppers" anywho? Why would you want to stand in line like the rest of us peons?

You don't have to be super Bill Gates rich to buy a Ferrari. Just being rich (200K+ income) is probably enough.

I should have said cheap Sypderco knock off. I usually carry a microtech or an emerson in a kydex rig.
