Amazing.

Just look at all the folks in here that said they've already cut back yet the Oil Barons and our Government run by them keep saying demand is going through the roof.

But look at all the people with big SUVs, trucks and sports cars who drive a lot, just for fun. There are hundreds of people "cruising" nightly in this area. Just driving around aimlessly in their cool cars.

Maybe if it gets high enough there will be less cars on the road and I'll spend less time stuck in traffic.

alot of the taxes on gasoline over in europe go right back into there roads. Alot of there roads are in way better conditions than our roads.

No, driving is already at a minimum. Three times a year we take a long drive to Corpus Christi, although the benefits easily outweigh the costs of gas. Aside from that we only drive for groceries.

I already did. Instead of driving 12 miles to and from work each day, I only drive about 3.

I tried driving only a quarter of the way into work, but my productivity went way down.

Lets see - out in PHX with my 35 mi/daily commute to work..about 250 miles/week incl having a little fun..- ~25 mi/gal - 10 gal per week * 2.40 = $24..or..
10*3=$30

i dont think $6/week is gonna make any difference..that doesnt even cover one dinner out..in college station i obviously drive a lot less, but then again my gas mileage goes way down too due to all city/traffic ..probably 120 miles/week at 18 mpg..
6.66 gal * 2.40 = $16
6.66 * 3 = $20

$4/week, wont even by you a burrito..

I've already cut my driving down, so I probably couldn't cut back anymore. I have thought about getting a car that gets better gas mileage if the price continues to climb.

..already have. Use public transportation (BART) whenever I can and drive only to shop once a week.
