IN COMPARISON, THE AVERAGE ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT IN YOUR COUNTRY IS 24 ACRES PER PERSON.

WORLDWIDE, THERE EXIST 4.5 BIOLOGICALLY PRODUCTIVE ACRES PER PERSON.

IF EVERYONE LIVED LIKE YOU, WE WOULD NEED 2.9 PLANETS.

Agreed. I'm not going to feel guilt for the way I live, Americans aren't the ones overpopulating the planet!

I'm not sure it's possible for anyone to get a score that is good enough for them to live on one planet.

As I pointed out in the other thread, the environmental movement is no longer science, but religion. A religion run by anti-capitalist/anti-corporate loons.

I wonder if their asses are sore after pulling this crap out of it?

The truly sad thing is, people fall for this crap.

So why don't you tell us your score?
;)

While I agree, that doesen't mean that we shouldn't care for our environment...

No point. It's bullsh!t. No matter how you answer, there is not enough planet. Or haven't you noticed this yet???

Half the folks answering here are college kids in dorms making no money and eating like crap. This test is a farce, why waste my time?

That seems to be so, and that is sad.

Well you've taken the time to trash the results of a test you've refused to take.

O.K. whatever..... don't make me get out the cookie.

Taking the test is a waste of time. Exposing the BS that it is, is not.

Playing with the test, the only way to take up 1 planet is to live like a third world refugee in a home of 20sq meters or less with 7 or more people with no electricity or water, never drive a motor vehicle or take public transport, be a vegan, and never eat processed foods.

Come on. :Q

There CAN'T be an aganda here, can there?

Compared to people in your neighborhood, how much waste do you generate?
Much less
About the same
Much more

Am I the only one that finds this question awkward?
Incidentally, I got 3 planets.

The naysayers need to take a statistics class... But even then will probably pretend that their lifestyles have no mpact (Where does milk come from? The grocery!). Come on, it doesn't take a genius to realize that you need a certain amount of acres to live. Add up all the meat you eat in a year and try to pretend that alone didn't take up several acres of grass/corn/wheat.

I took it a while ago and I think it said 2.3 planets. I use 10 acres.

hahahaha. That is quite Amusing.. no pun intended. ;)

But I think the test is more of a silly thing to share with your friends than anything, like the "What level of Hell are you going to?" tests.. lol

Also, you must remember that the test is asking, "If everybody on the entire planet lived like you, how much space would we need?".

Considering that a large portion of the planet DOES live in a home of 20sq meters or less with 7 or more people, never drives a motor vehicle or use public transit, and never eats processed foods... I'm wondering how much out of line it really is.... Although the vegan thing is pretty weird.

I think you're forgetting just how indulgent we are compared to the rest of the world....
