You haven't looked into the actual price of health insurance recently, have you?

Price in one example: $800 something for 'normal', $600 something for higher deductible.

For one person. That's a conversion pricing, which is not available to new members.

My mother, age 70, is now in a healthcare facility due to health issues.

The total cost of care for my mom per month is nearly $8000.00 per month.

This is $96,000 dollars per year.

No average american can afford this expense.

My mom is fortunate in that she inherited her wealth to pay for the expense.

However, most people cannot afford $96,000 per year!

What happens to these people?????

I will lose all my inheritance to my mom's ultra expensive healthcare.

This is essentially a 100% estate tax.

I've got news for you. Society can't afford that either. Sometimes you just need to let people die with a little dignity.

3rd party? END PARTIES. Parties are anti-American to the core. Their concept stands against liberty.

So you are willing to give up a third of your income for free healthcare?

They get free healthcare, but make $10,000 less per year... sounds like a damn expensive medical plan.
My health care (I'm disabled) takes more than a third of my income. And that's only for doctor visits & meds.

A lot of people are paying a third (or more) of their income for health care, when health care insurance (especially family coverage) is figured in. And that's hoping that no one becomes sick.

Go figure.

it's very expensive to be waited on hand-and-foot by qualified medical professionals, and to be given various drug treatments, food, and bed space. Health care is not cheap no matter how you cut it, and the government can't change that. All the government can do is mandate that everyone pay for everybody's health care through a tax. If the majority doesn't want to pay enormous health-care premiums, then the only thing we can do is guarantee basic care to sick individuals. Expensive treatments cannot be given to everyone for a variety of reasons, so they're expensive.

Having said that, i hope your mother feels better. My dad is getting close to that age, and i (nor my brothers) am not in any position to support him. Luckily he, like your mother, has given himself a green cushion.

they overcharge for everything!

This is one giant fraud of an agency under the pretense of health care.

They charge $6.00 for a roll of toilet paper for christ sake!

On top of this i had health care workers, in my house, working for the state of california, who claimed to have worked 40 hours per week when they only worked 20 hours in that week. I was personally an eye witness to this fraud
!

I complained about this fraud and nothing was done.

On top of this the hospitals overcharged my mom to the tune of $90,000 to compensate for unpaid emergency visits by the poor.

Sutter hospital was sued for this overcharging recently to the tune of billions of dollars!

This whole system of health care is a fraud!

The degree of civilization in a society can be judged by entering its prisons.
Fyodor Dostoevsky
Russian novelist (1821 - 1881)

Being a first hand witness to how my mom was treated by the health care system I can definitely say that this country is barbaric in terms of the degree of civilization.

What are you smoking??

The Republicans hold more national and state offices than at any time in their history.

Republicans control 29 governorships (20D) 27 State Upper houses (21D) 30 Lower houses (18D) and 242 House seats (193D) The ONLY area they are lagging is in the Senate and of course the Presidency.

The Republicans control more state houses than at any time in their history.
And there are more house members than at any time since 1946.

That's why this country is going to hell in a hand basket once again...
