There is ZERO replay value in this - reminds me of Unreal II

Don't even compare D3 to Unreal II (although it's pretty true about the replay value). U2 was a rushed piece of junk. The story was a lark and the game was way too short.

There was one cool sequence in U2 where you have to assault a base with a team, then defend it from attackers - I remember playing that sequence thinking: if they just did 15 levels of this type of gameplay, the game would rock, but I know this is going to be it for 'cool' things in the game, because of all the bad reviews and such.

As it turned out, that was about the only redeeming part of the game. Listening to the main character talk was painful, ie "That's MARSHALL stupid Jar-head TO YOU." Ugh, who wrote that tripe? I still have nitemares about the dialog in that game!

Althought Unreal 2 wasnt the greatest game, I still think it was much more fun than Doom3.

I see many complaining it's too easy as well, did they play on the toughest level of difficulty?
I did. Well, I played on veteran difficulty and tried a bit in nightmare, which was no different. It was challenging in Hell a bit, but once you get the soulcube the game becomes far too easy.

With this game, I would have liked to see swarms of imps attacking you at the same time, not just 4 or 5 max. I would have liked to see half a dozen hell knights. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. The only thing that comes in enough numbers is spiders, and they suck.

The tank boss can be killed in 2 seconds by firing the soulcube and a few rockets. The only real danger the final boss offers is falling off the edge. To me, that's inexcusable.

Ramping up the difficulty steeply in this game should be far easier than others, as they can do it simply by increasing the monster count. The game isn't built on AI like some others are.
