You should have got Trading Standards onto 'em, they obviously didn't live up to their name :p

Can't fap in public, or in the car while driving :p

I think smoking for stress relief is BS. What kind of stress do you have while in public and driving. Please.

LOL are you serious? :p

I quit recently, but nothing made me want to spark up as much as coming close to losing my life on the drive to / from work. You experience a close call, you almost die, and then you realize... shit, I'm still here but I'm REALLY freaked out :)

Um, Yea I'm serious. I don't smoke so I won't go for the lighter when I have a similar driving experience as you described. I would just take a deep breath and clear my head before continuing. You would have gone to the "lighter" regardless of haveing a near death aexperience or not. Smokers look for reasons to light up.

Smoker: "oh man the stress of work, I need a cigarette"
(2 mins later)
Smoker: "oh man the stress of work, I need a cigarette"
(5 mins later)
Smoker: "oh man the stress of work, I need a cigarette"

Non-Smoker: "Oh man the stress of work. I am going to take a short walk to clear my head."
(3 hours later)
Non-Smoker: "Oh man the stress of work. I am going to take a short walk to clear my head."

;)

Sorry for over emphasizing my point. I overlooked the part where you said you quit recently. Congrats. Honestly. I hope you keep it up. I, being a non-smoker, really don't understand how hard it can be. But I know other people who have tried and failed. So I am rooting for you and all who quit.

Hey it's all good :)
The toughest part for me is trying not to start up again. It has become an almost seasonal habit to me. I don't like smoking outside when it is cold and I don't like smoking in my car when it is cold either. The other thing that really bothered me this time was I did it 100% on the down-low. My wife had no idea. I became a master of covering up and masking the scent. It just becomes too much like work when you are trying to hide it too.... and for what? No real benefits or positives. Still, I know it will be hard for me not to start up again next summer. I guess as long as I only smoke 1-2 seasons out of the year, I'll be alright :p

I am a former smoker, so I don't like to tell others what to do with their money...but I do have to laugh at smokers who complain about the price.

It's really amusing to be at the gas station and silently cursing to myself about the high price of gas, and then hear someone next me whining about the high cost of cigarettes.

Every morning, when I crack open a fresh bottle of Jack Daniels, I see the nanny-nonsense warnings printed on the side of the label.

All this talk about "Dangerous to pregnant women" and "low fetal birth weight" doesn't apply to me! Duh!!

So I just drink up and don't worry about it.

I believe a lot do. I've heard many say it's the luck of someone's DNA.

With all the rave about not smoking in public places, you car with your children, only in isolated groups, and this has been for many years SOME of these laws, especially the public places part, and the fact many have just up and quit due to the rise in the price of smokes, but yet there is a rise in cancer with all that have quit, or are no longer being smoked around them.
Figure that one out.

How do you get a rise in cancer when you have cut out what was supposed to be the cause of you getting cancer in the first place, or no longer being smoked around by the person causing you to get the cancer?

Im not a well educated person by any means, but I still stick to my theory that it is not linked to cigarettes, that was just another ploy the government knew they wouldget a bunch of sheeple behind them to follow so they could raise taxes and what not to line more of thier pockets doing it, for the PUBLIC would be behind them brainwashed into thinking they were right, smoking is bad. But it is because of the rise of cars and traffic, with more and more people sitting in traffic sucking on far worse things then a lit tobacco smoke. Were talking much worse things like asbestos lined SEMI brake pads. Yeah sure they may have gotten rid of them from most cars, or baned the sale of them, but much older cars, especially the rear brakes, dont need to be replaced all that often, so it may be riding on that 1980 set of still lined asbestos shoes in the rear, and a lot of semi brake shoes are still made with asbestos lined shoes.

Ever been behind a semi as he is flying into a toll booth and you get that weird smell? Well buddy breath deep because what your sucking into your lungs is asbestos most likely from his brake shoes off the trailer, and if he is hitting them good, and the trailer is a bouncing around from uneven roadway, your getting the build up of brake dust collected on the parts too. YUMMY!

But do you think the government is going to tell all you people who sit in traffic what your breathing is far worse then a smoke, or hell a carton of them? HELL NO, there is no money in it. If they went off and said it was bad, and wanted to raise taxes on that, and fine everyone for driving to work to make a living, who the hell is going to support and back them up so they can ride that gravy train? Fucking no one thats who. So they blow smoke up your ass, say smoking is bad, all the goodie too shoes come out who like to put their way of believing and life on others join in, and all of a sudden, smoking is sooooooooo bad, and causes this and that, and the government sits back with a huge fucking smile knowing they are about to hit more pay dirt. They get money from us in the form of more taxes, and money from the cigarette companies for "cancer" research.

I got news for you, pretty much anything you do, drink, eat, inhale, is going to cause cancer, or something. But to be able to say cancer was the cause for the rise of it, and now with more people then ever that have quit, and have had smoking in and around them taken away, with cancer still on the rise, id say smoking was on the short end of the stick and we need to be looking some where else that was on the rise that could also cause people to get cancer weather they smoke or not, or even been around anyone who have. Maybe a nationwide poll as far as those who sat in traffic all the time who got cancer, or brought the stuff home in their clothes giving cancer to the loved ones, or something else other then traffic, but there is something for sure , IMO, other then a smoke, thats keeping cancer on the rise. And just because you sit in traffic with the windows up does not mean your in a sealed can. And I wonder just now if this may be why a lot of auto companies are sealing up the cabins of cars and installing air filtration units? Huh something to watch as time goes on if more and more cars get built with that, if cancer rates drop, and of course we will be told it was the cutting out of smoking, but most people whouldnt of even known the filters were installed. Anyway, my take on smoke, you can take it, or thinking im blowing smoke up your ass.

How about the warnings on packages about impotence (complete with the limp cigarette image)? That would put an end to all fapping! :Q

Edit: meltdown beat me to it!

I think you missed the point. Schneiderguy was suggesting an option INSTEAD of smoking which would make the warnings moot.

I hope your not really trying to argue that smoking isnt bad....
I see your point with other things possibly causeing some of the cancers attributed to smking, but the huge increase in risk of a smoker compared to a non smkr can not be ignored. Not to mention all the other risks - CAD, COPD etc etc...working at a tobacco cessation company I talk to thousands of people in there 30's-40's that sound like their 80 - can hardly breathe, about ready to need an oxegen tank. Asbestos from breaks on the truck in front of them did not cause that. It did not cause their blackened, worthless, permanently damaged lungs.

Again, I understand you may just be trying to prove there are plenty of other carcinogens out there...but why are 85-90% of lung cancer cases attributed to smokers if we all breath in the same atmosphere.

Black Death Cigarettes have a skull and crossbones on them.

I like how Australia handles it. I believe it was Brazil or something that has "Government Warning: Smoking Kills" on their packs.

I see what you mean there. However, I would assume that smokers masturbate as much as non-smokers. So smoking is an additional form of stress relief for those people.

I'm just saying that smoking has health implications that might put an end to masturbating.
