If Bush lost in November, do you think he could get the Republican nomination again in 2008?

Not a chance in hell.

Esp. after the truth of his administration's lies and deception comes out over the next four years.

There's almost NO way Bush could get renominated . . . running on a record of massive debt, overextended military, expanding government, and national insecurity.

McCain/Hagel/Powell . . . any combination sounds good to me. If Bush gets his walking papers the NeoCons are finished . . . along with their religious fanatical fringe friends.

LOL. Bush will go down as worst president in history after he leaves, see above. It's only peoples pseudo patriotism, wrapping themselves in the flag, and "respect for the office" that keeps their mouth shut right now. Idiot rednecks don't write history books either which will hurt him.

He has a chance... if somehow the US was brainwashed into being extreme religious freaks or something like that.

"National Insecurity?" Have we been attacked again? I seem to remember the U.S.S. Cole, the world trade towers, the military barracks in Saudi, the embassies in Africa, et al....

They now know that we will respond; the sleeping giant has awoken...bring it on.

As I posted in another thread, I start driving to work if Kerry wins, though he doesn't stand a chance.

No, I think it's still safe to say that Franklin Roosevelt owns the mark of "Worst President". Bush is a bad president, no question, but still a mere footnote compared to the likes of Roosevelt.

"safe to say" eh? your views are an insignifigant minority. Even Bush and Reagan priase Roosevelt. Just about any historian or national magazine name him numero uno, as in best, of the 20th century. Not so "safe" after all is it?

"National Insecurity?" Have we been attacked again? I.

You can't be serious? Yes about 30,000x in Iraq. Charles Bishop flying cessna into BofA. Anthrax killings later that year. Pearl/johnston and scores of other slaughters of our civilians. And about a billion other muslims iching and plotting the next 9-11 but this time with nukes.

Not in my backyard...makes the war on terror easier; they are coming to us on foreign soil.

Zebo:

Yes, I doubt you could find a Chair of the History Department at a major university who wouldn't agree that Roosevelt was one of our best presidents. You'd have to pass some pretty awful presidents to call FDR the worst.

But, these comments, totally off point of course and without any credible substantiation, are the bread and butter of those who live by shibboleths and avoid the awful majesty of FACTS.

Probably not... then again, after 4 years of Kerry/Edwards, I'm sure Americans would be more than willing to re-elect him ;)

This 'discussion' has been attempted ad nauseum.

Bush is president of the USA, right now, regardless of what happened or didn't happen in florida four years ago.
