I like cats, but if they scratch me, I'll fvck them up.
It's neat when they hit the hardwood floor and can't get traction. You can boot them four or five times before they hit carpet and bolt.

last one that scratched me while I was petting it got thumped on the head, and that cat hasn't been the same since. (it bats at string like it's right beside it, only the string is a foot away)

Man, I wouldn't even fire a warning shot. I'd so straight for the HEADSHOT!

Most cat owners practically BEG their cats for affection. If I'm a bastard for using that as a reason to not like them, well, I can live with that.

I have other reasons, too. Like the fact that their the moodiest sons of b1tches. Some cats are like women who have been on PMS their whole lives.

I don't need that crap.

How many of those people who posted their hatred for cats are not white?

wtf? how is that relevant?

In my experience, asians and indians don't like cats.

Well, I happen to be a white, corn-fed midwesterner, and I'd sacrifice a cat in the name of Thursday... if it were legal.

My thought exactly - part of what makes me feel so good about a dog is you can just come home after a sh!tty day at work or school or whatever, and most dogs will be right there, jumping and licking and playing and curling up next to you anyways. I don't have to 'impress' my dog or negiotate my outward emotions to get them to love me. At least the dog that I have had will be one of those that can sense when you're sick and she'll stand at attention at the foot of your bed for hours (and days!) on end until you feel back to yourelf again.

I love cats, all cats, and I can honestly say that no cat has ever hurted me (on purpose). I mean, of course, if their scared by a bang or a dog or something, sure they'll be scared. Or, when you deflea them, they attack you, of course, the shst burns like hell.

I had a big, black cat, but he ran away, haven't seen him since. He always came to me when I was lying on my back, watching TV. He'd jump on my belly, come to my head, and wrap his paws around my neck, as in a hug-like fashion. He'd put his nose against mine, and lick my cheeck. God, I miss him.

First of all, i despise those -i cant even bring myself to say it! i hate those little bast%#@! I gleefully gloat when i see them smashed on the road. they are evil- just look at them- i loathe them! I wouldnt be petting them, and i would have shot it long before it scratched me. I apologize to my own cat, who is kept around only to be a mouser.Im sorry, but i can barely stand him either.

Some people just don't know how to teach cats properly. My cat is actually pretty cool and besides the fact he plays with the dog (Chocolate lab/Irish Setter mix).... You know the dog and cat have been playing when the cat is wet! :D

Besides the fact it's not the cats' fault it was born with some sort of cocain substance running through it's viens! (This should explain the sudden realization of dashing off into another room and acting like nothing happened.)

Was it playing? Were you hurting it and it needed to get away? Is it a cat that doesn't like being petted wher eyou were petting it? Tons of reasons why a cat would scratch someone and most of them aren't the cat's fault.

Don't worry most of these cat haters don't know how to properly interact with something that could very well be smarter then themselves.

Just an interesting observation. If someone was petting a cat and the cat scratched them because they are idiots who don't know how to pet a cat, then they hit the cat, I'm willing to bet that they would soon find themselves hit over the head with a blunt object, if not by the owner then by me.

Then your body would be thrown in the garbage can next to the dead cat.

I've found a fantastic book for all the cat haters. Maybe this will make you change your mind about cats. Some people think that cats are worthless but this will teach you that they do have a lot of uses:
