IE versus Firefox....

That's great... so surprised it's M$. Would fully expect it from the Google Browser team. Oh wait...

I use IE instead of FF, ever since IE7 started working well.
For many applications I support at work, I have to use IE. A lot of Vendors assume everyone uses IE and follows IE standards instead of protocol specs. Firefox occasionally works better with some Java-based applications. The no-script plugin for FF makes it much more secure.

Wait. Is FF 3.0 finalized? I thought it was RC3?

You missed the 800 download day threads on every site in the world? :Q

fixed.

Anyhow, it's a nice gesture, and personally, I think it's great that IE is losing market share not because I hate MS or anything, but because competition always seems to inspire "the next big thing" and push quality. (of course, it also brings out the worst in people, but hey.)

I saw them, but I also saw some people saying that it was RC3 so rather than finding out for myself I just decided to wait a bit. That's what I get for putting too much stock into the internet.

IE at work, FF at home. Prefer IE because of compatibility, though using Adblock on FF helps me out with those sites that have poor formatting for FF.

Updated my home PC to Firefox 3 last night and it has crashed 4 times so far. That's 4 times more than the previous iteration crashed for me.

FF nevver crashes. IE7 will crash at least once per day if I keep it open long enough on Facebook(the only website I use IE7 for), but that's likely because Facebook is so crappy.

I noticed that Firefox 3 and Foxmarks don't seem to get along. It crashes when it tries to sync my bookmarks on shutdown 🙁

Three of the times it crashed I was just doing a Google search, nothing fancy at all. Very strange. Maybe one of my add-ons is buggy.
